Planning Your Exit Before You Buy: Spot Exit Levels in Bybit's Mobile Panel
A walkthrough of the Bybit app spot order panel: choosing limit, market or conditional orders, attaching take profit and stop loss, and finding those orders afterwards so they are not forgotten.

Buying a coin on the Bybit app takes seconds. Planning how you will get out of the trade is what most people skip. The spot order panel lets you attach take profit and stop loss levels at the moment you buy, or add them later as conditional orders. Each option behaves a little differently, and the place where the resulting orders appear is not always obvious on a small screen. This guide follows the exact sequence in the app so your exits are set before you put the phone down.
Choose the order type at the top of the panel
Open the Bybit app, tap Trade and make sure Spot is selected, then pick your pair. At the top of the order panel you will see Limit, Market and a conditional option, often labelled TP/SL or Conditional. Limit lets you name the price you want to buy at. Market fills straight away at the best available price. Conditional waits for a trigger before placing an order. For a first trade, a limit order gives you the most control over the entry.
Attach exits while buying
With Limit selected, look for the TP/SL toggle under the price and quantity fields. Switch it on and enter a take profit price above your entry and a stop loss price below it. The app shows the estimated outcome at each level. Confirm the order and check the summary screen, which lists the attached exits. If you use market orders instead, the same toggle may be available; if not, add a conditional order straight after the fill.
Find the orders after placing them
Scroll down below the chart to the orders area. Attached exits and conditional orders often sit under a separate tab from ordinary open orders, labelled TP/SL or Conditional. Tap into them to check the trigger price, order type and quantity. Many users think their stop is missing because they are looking at the wrong tab. You can amend or cancel each one from this list.
Know how they will execute
When a stop triggers, the app places the order type you selected. A market execution fills quickly but at whatever price is available, which may be worse than the trigger in a sharp drop. A limit execution protects the price but may not fill at all. Trading costs differ between the two; check the Bybit fee page for the current maker and taker rates at your level. Test the whole process with a small amount once before relying on it.

Scenario checkpoint
- Select Limit, switch on the TP/SL toggle and enter both exit levels before buying.
- Read the order summary screen to confirm the attached exits were actually included.
- Check the TP/SL or Conditional tab, not only open orders, to see pending exit orders.
- Decide between market and limit execution for stops based on speed versus price control.
