Lookalike Bybit Login Pages From Search Ads, and the Habits That Stop Them

Phishing sites copy the Bybit login page and buy search ads to appear above the real result. How to spot them, why app login and passkeys help, and what to do if you entered details.

Typing an exchange name into a search engine and tapping the first result feels harmless. Unfortunately, criminals buy search ads that sit above genuine results and lead to near-perfect copies of the Bybit login page. Enter your email, password and code there and they relay it to the real site within seconds. The defence is not technical skill but a few habits that remove search engines from the path between you and your account.

How cloned login pages look

The copy uses the same logo, colours and layout as Bybit. The difference is the web address, which may swap a letter, add a word such as login or secure, or use a different ending. On a phone, the address bar often hides most of the address, so the fake looks even more convincing. Some clones also show a fake security alert to rush you, or a pop-up claiming your account will be frozen unless you verify within minutes. Genuine Bybit notices appear inside the app and in emails that carry your anti-phishing code, never as a countdown on a page you reached from an advert.

Use the app or a bookmark every time

The simplest habit is to log in through the Bybit app installed from your phone's app store, or through a bookmark you created once after carefully typing the address yourself. Never log in from a search result, an email link or a link in a chat. If you must search, scroll past the ads and check the full address before entering anything. A password manager helps here too: it only offers to fill your saved Bybit login on the real domain, so if it stays silent on a page that looks right, treat that silence as a warning.

Passkeys and anti-phishing code

Add a passkey in the Bybit app under Account and Security. A passkey only works on Bybit's genuine domain, so a cloned page cannot use it. Also set the anti-phishing code in the same menu so every legitimate Bybit email carries your personal phrase. Together these two settings make most phishing attempts fail even if you click the wrong link.

If you typed details into a fake page

Act quickly. From the app, change your password, reset your authenticator and remove unknown devices. Check withdrawal history and enable the withdrawal address whitelist. Contact Bybit support through the in-app chat to report the incident, and report the fake site to the search engine through its ad reporting form.

Risk boundary: Bybit App Safety Guide

Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. A referral link only records attribution; it does not guarantee access, pricing, rewards, approval or investment results. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.

Scenario checkpoint

  • Log in only through the Bybit app or a bookmark you created by typing the address yourself.
  • Read the full web address before entering anything if you ever arrive from a search result.
  • Add a passkey and an anti-phishing code under Account and Security in the Bybit app.
  • Change password and reset the authenticator immediately after entering details on a clone.
